Grace Chris Peterson-- Michigan/Florida
Grace has worked in the Hotel/Restaurant Industry for over 25 years . It was a fulfilling but strenuous, and taxing career and one in which she had to eventually give up. She has been diagnosed with ACTD, Fibromyalgia, Silicone Related Disorder, Degenerative Discs of the Back and Neck, Spondylothesis, Asthma, Pulmonary Hypertension and other health problems. She had her 30 year ruptured silicone implants removed in 2004 and has thankfully seen much healing since. She still has to work hard to keep an even balance in her health these days.
To date, she is working on her Bachelors and is also a small business owner. She also takes classes of interest at her local Community College. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 granchildren. She has a love of photography, the outdoors, nature and gardening as able and all go well hand in hand. She has volunteered at the local Humane Society, Womens Abuse Home, and visits many of the local shutins of the area doing small jobs or just lending an ear.

Rosanne Averill -- Boston, MA
Rosanne worked in the Beauty Industry as a hairstylist for over 20 years before becoming disabled from the effects of having had both silicone and saline breast implants.
Rosanne has been diagnosed been diagnosed with Graves Disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrone, MS Like Disease, A-Typical Connective Tissue Disease, mupltiple neuropathies,considerable central nervous damage, migranes and asthma. She has been implant free for almost 4 years. Rosanne is currently trying various methods to detox her body from the effects of having had breast implants.
Hobbies
Rosannes hobbies are limited these days, although she still trys to keep up with current world events. She also enjoys cooking, decorating, crafts, but mostly loves spending some time with her grandaughter, "Samantha".

Mary-Rosser Furr -- Virginia
Mary-Rosser, also known as Merv, has worked for over 20 years as a special needs provider for babies, children, youth and young adults. She currently has a small business as well as working for an in home provider service training individual's for independent living.
She was implanted with a silicone gel chin implant and free floating silicone in her face in 1985 during a maxillofacial surgery to correct facial deformities, and was explanted in 1998. She has had a long journey with chronic illness and she has been diagnosed with Degenerative Joint Disease, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Depression, CIDP, Barrett’s Esophagus, GERD, Thyroid Cancer, Celiac Disease, Small Fiber Peripheral Neuropathy, Malar rash and Lupus symptoms. Restless Leg syndrome and Periodic limb movement disorder,
She has worked hard to regain her health and life and has seen many health and livelihood gains in the last 5 years. She attributes her current status to a multidisciplinary approach to health and well being.
Education
Mary Rosser has college work in the Human Service field and Special Education. Her current goals are to return to college to complete her degree and to also complete a business degree.
Volunteer Work
She has volunteered in Equine Therapeutic Riding programs under the NARHA guidelines.. She has also been a Hospice volunteer, church youth group leader, Girl Scout leader, and ran a Fibromyalgia support group for 3 years, She is currently a volunteer with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. and is a board member of the Arc. She also does volunteer work with local wildlife and pet rehabilitation groups.
Favorite Hobbies
Her hobbies include going to movies, especially foreign films, and keeping up with current events. She spends time in bookstores, walking in the woods with her dogs, and being with her family and friends. She is in several social and civic groups. She enjoys road trips, reading, gardening, and other outdoor activities, photography, drawing, beading, puzzles and cooking.

Terri Peake
Special thanks to this very beautiful and very brave woman, for sharing her intimate story of her life after saline breast implants. Terri made a fateful decision on having saline implants in 1985, to be accpeted to Penthouse magizine. This decision has destroyed her health. Terri has been sick the entire life of her beloved young daughter, pictured beside her mother in this picture.

Barb VH -- Michigan
Barb has been married to her high school sweetheart for 40 years. She has worked in many fields including retail sales, banking and law. She is currently employed part time as an Administrative Assistant for a clinical research company.
Barb had her 25 year old ruptured silicone implants removed by Dr. Lu-Jean Feng in 2005. Barb has seen a big improvement in her health since her surgery.
HobbiesBarb loves yoga, body rolling, walking and spiritual reading. Her greatest joys are being the grandmother to three, traveling with her husband and helping him as first mate on their 18 foot sailboat.

Pamela J. Jones completed requirements for her M.D. degree in 3 countries-USA,England,& Belize. She finished approximately two years of medical training in Belize,Central America. She also studied medicine at the Princhess Royal Hospital,in Haywards Heath,England and at Chase Farm Hospital,in Enfield,England. She completed her last year of medical education in Chicago,Illinois,USA. B.S. degree completed at Ohio University,1995,Biology,summa cum laude,Athens,Oh.

Pamela had her first breast augmentation with saline-filled breast implants 7 years ago. Three years later she had additional surgeries which included a mastopexy, smaller saline-filled breast implants, a chin implant, malar implants, rhinoplasty, and upper lid blepharoplasty. In 2003, she was diagnosed with Silicone Induced Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (S.I.I.D.S.), Atypical Neurological Disease and Systemic Candidiasis. Atypical Neurological Disease and S.I.I.D.S. are components of Human Adjuvant Disease. Pamela had all of her implants removed in June 2003.
She has been the C.E.O. and Chairman of the Silicone Adjuvant Disease Corp.
for the past two years.

Molly Stewart -- Florida
Molly has worked as an electrical engineer for many years, until she started law school at the age of 46. She graduated from law school in May of 2003, and attributed her increasing health problems (rashes, carpel tunnel, fatigue and joint pain) to stress, middle age and excessive writing & computer work. However, her health continued to decline and within a few months, she was diagnosed with ‘peripheral neuropathy’ of all extremities in addition to carpel tunnel, severe depression, Raynaud’s, Hashimoto’s (autoimmune) thyroiditis, multiple sclerosis and connective tissue disease (lupus). In the fall of 2003, she discovered her 20-year old double lumen implants were ruptured, and was explanted in April, 2004, by Dr. Kolb in Atlanta. With the assistance of her doctors, and encouragement of family and friends, she has begun to regain her health. She is now licensed in law, and able to work again.

Volunteer Work
Molly has worked as a volunteer at Women's Abuse program in Illinois and has participated in various political campaigns. She is a member of various professional organizations.

Spending time with her attorney husband, visiting with her daughter and grandson, cuddling with her 2 cats and 2 poodles. Molly follows politics, law, and loves a good escapist mystery novel.

Lisa Christina - New Mexico
Lisa Christina has worked in many different fields. She began full time work as an Ice cream server at 15, and became manager at age 16 while working on her high school education. She went on to the New York Institute of photography to pursue her passion of becoming a photographer. She filled her dream and became both a photographer and musician in New York City. She worked in the photography industry for 15 years.
Lisa Christina has 3 children and a wonderful husband of 17 years. Her life took a major turn due to complications with her 20 year old Silicone implants.

# Lisa's Explant Journey
Faith – Southern California
Faith has been a stay at home mom for 22 years. She had her implants put in 1981 at the age of 25. She began to notice depression and fatigue problems around 10 years later but attributed it to having 3 small children and to watching her younger brother die of A.I.D.S. After the death of her sister in 1996, she began to have joint issues. All the doctors diagnosed her with osteoarthritis. However, several thought that there must be some undiagnosed inflammatory condition going on. Faith was explanted on April 27, 2009 after a MRI revealed that she had a rupture in her implants. She has already noticed her energy coming back. The depression seems to be lifting and she can think more clearly. She is currently off two of her medications. In time she has faith that her health will continue to improve.
Hobbies and Interests:
Faith enjoys interior design, arts and crafts, sewing, photography, reading gardening, walking, dancing, cooking/baking, travelling. Her favorite place is Hawaii.
Favorite moments are spending time with family. She loves having lunch and catching up with friends. Her relationships are very important to her.

Gretchen – Southern California
Gretchen is a Marketing Manager for an Advertising Agency in Southern California and a former NPC Figure Competitor and former runner. She received the "newly approved" and "safe" silicone implants in December of 2006 – and immediately began losing her memory and health. She got her implants removed 5 weeks after she got them put in by her original plastic surgeon & later traveled to GA to see Dr. Kolb to get her capsules removed. Gretchen had a seizure & was in a coma and continued to suffer from terrible symptoms for 8 months after explant. She had neurological problems, chronic fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Epstein-Barr and adrenal and thyroid issues.
